Spark 'n Spin Newsletter - 12/22/25

…well, I screwed up.

I’m so sorry to… the 2 (?) of you reading this newsletter. I promised N6, and yet again, I failed to deliver. I said it’d be out the same day. I was mistaken.

Don’t be disappointed, though! This, for real this time, is N6. This is, in my opinion, the much more exciting update compared to N5. And, just so you know, N5 and N6 just meant Newsletter 5/6 (…as if you hadn’t gotten that already).

Firstly, the FewTileEffort demo is entirely complete! I know, for better or worse, to middling success, I teased a demo version for FewTileEffort. However, I am away on holiday, and chose not to bring my laptop.

In fact, creating this page took me half an hour of struggling with “Desktop Mode” on safari. Let me tell you, it was not fun. Therefore, you will probably not see the demo until more or less the 27th-30th. At that point, I will put out a newsletter with more information on that.

Anyways, rant over.

Marketing is going to start as soon as I can start it. The plan is to funnel a bunch of people from different sources (YT Shorts, Reddit Ads, etc) into a small community through a discord server which will provide a space for speedrunning and…. prestige…. I guess…? This is to build hype and a community… and these newsletters are a part of that! Hope to see new friends on these pages soon.

Next…. next…. Oh! Yes!! Toytown. I mentioned last time that someone very important is very likely rejoining Toytown long-term. Now, if you were waiting and wishing upon a star for a reveal, I’m sorry to bring you the bad news that I will not be revealing who this person is or what they do until I am

absolutely certain of their involvement long-term. What?! You thought I’d just reveal everything at the drop of a hat?! No!!

And now, for Toytown, I will reveal some lore through an excerpt of a speech. This speech comes from a character named Zoonie Faker, an ex-biker turned cold, cunning, and calculated (three Cs!) politician. He’s also the main villain of the series.

Ahem.

“””

Amplified Zoonie Voice: "Join us, in our mission to revolutionize our world..."

[Rallies Cheer]

Amplified Zoonie Voice: "Vote Zoonie, and you're guaranteed a life of safety and uncompromised rights..."

Amplified Zoonie Voice: "Where freedom comes first."

Amplified Zoonie Voice: "They want to silence us."

Amplified Zoonie Voice: "They want to stop us."

Annnd that’s time!

…for that segment. We’ve still got a bittt more left before you get to move the hell along with your day. Whoop-de-do.

Nothing notable to say for Dungeon Mode, really. Limited access will most likely not be available to any of you, but the time will come when you can apply through the newsletter.

...well, that was a lot. Let’s shift to something more future-facing: timelines!

In terms of timelines, there are just a few things that I have to say. Specifically that you can (hopefully) expect both more friends here at the newsletter plus a concrete release sometime in mid to late January. Earlier is possible, yes, but not likely. I’d like to have a decent community before release. After all, it is our first game release! Look out for a discord link in the next newsletter!!

For Dungeon Mode, we’re still looking forward to a Jan/Feb early access period, but that might not happen if we don’t make significant progress on the development front. Anyways, it’s not likely you’ll be able to play until June-ish, so don’t count on it.

Toytown is moving as expected. Don’t want to spoil too much, but look forward to more details across the next two or three newsletters.

That’s all for N6. Hope you’re all satisfied with the buttload of stuff here.
