Spark 'n Spin Newsletter - 7/17/25
Welcome to the next Newsletter. Already been a whole week, huh? Anyways, I have some more fun news to share about Hex Gems and more. Not too many new developments, per se, but more of just general progress going smoothly and other specifics to share. So, yeah, let's get into it!
Firstly, the Kickstarter is being actively developed for Hex Gems v2. It's moving quickly, but there's a dependency in the chain that is being more than just annoying to resolve (which, coincidentally, also means it's annoying. That's fun!). In terms of the content, it's well underway. The card content is, to be clear, completely finished. So finished, in fact, that I already have done the exact same thing for the stretch goals, so all their card content is finished too! Not quite as finished as v2 base, but still nearly done nonetheless.
Also, the Music page is now completely up and running. Not a big deal, but you can go check it out if that's something you'd be interested in. Huh? You wanted the Wiki? Sorry, it's not here yet. You'll have to wait just a bit longer for that. I haven't even started working on them yet, as they are massive projects. I wouldn't expect them to release until at least both the new versions of Hex Gems and FewTileEffort have released officially. Sorry, folks!
If you'd like to contribute to said Wikis, reach out to us at a currently tentative website@sparknspin.com. This is an effort as a part of our brand-new goal to build a decently sized community of people before FewTileEffort and Hex Gems v2 officially launch. That not only includes a brand-new Spark 'n Spin discord that's being worked on at the moment, and a subreddit for both FewTileEffort and Hex Gems, but also a FewTileEffort demo! The Demo does not have a release date as of now, but in next week's newsletter, expect a tentative date.
To make matters even better, the FewTileEffort OST is officially halfway done! I would have shared one or two tracks here, but ultimately, I decided against it. I just don't want to share a halfway done OST. However, if needed, I may choose to upload a prerelease version of the OST if the demand is existent. Otherwise, it will release as scheduled alongside the game.
That's basically it for this week's newsletter. Just a few minor project updates. So yeah, for the second time ever, see you next week!
